We are very proud to announce that the Director of Nireas International Water Research Center, UCY, Assoc. Prof. Despo Fatta-Kassinos has been placed in the top 1% in the world of highly cited scientists by Clarivate Analytics #HighlyCited2018 for the cross-field category.
The Clarivate Analytics list of Highly Cited Researchers identifies scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated exceptional performance in one or more of 21 fields (those used in Essential Science Indicators (ESI)) or across several fields. This year, for the first time, Highly Cited Researchers introduces a new Cross-Field category to identify researchers with substantial influence across several fields during 2006-2016.
Moreover, Prof. Dion Dionysiou from the University of Cincinnati, USA, member of the initial Board of Directors of Nireas-IWRC and an invaluable collaborator of our work, is also in the same list under the category of “engineering”.
Nireas-IWRC research team is extremely proud that two of its members are among this elite group of international scientists that have produced multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science.
