An Open Day on “Water and Wastewater Treatment” was organized on 12th of February 2019 by NIREAS IWRC, UCY research team, in the framework of the activities of the project ALICE (H2020-MSCA-RISE-2016-734560). NIREAS-IWRC offered an opportunity to students and the general public to get acquainted with the research activities of the center and get first-hands experience on issues related to water and urban wastewater treatment.
The students got the opportunity to work with academics and researchers on the following topics:
-Physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of water and urban wastewater treatment for the determination of their qualitative parameters
-Water and urban wastewater treatment
-Contaminants of emerging concern in water and urban wastewater
-Risk assessment of contaminants of emerging concern in water and urban wastewater
